About World Headlines

Who we are

World Headlines is a New York-based, early-stage news reader. Our focus is simple: help people quickly follow trusted global headlines aligned with their interests—without noise or hype. We are product builders, engineers, and editors who value clarity, privacy, and accessibility.

What we do (v1 reality)

In version 1, World Headlines is intentionally minimal. We display headlines and basic article metadata from licensed or public news APIs, with clear attribution and links back to the original publishers. Readers can leave basic comments. We do not claim to replace original reporting; the original article always governs.

Principles we won't trade off

How AI fits (carefully, and on your terms)

We may use AI for short summaries and basic recommendations. These are clearly labeled, link back to the original article, and undergo light editorial checks. We do not use identifiable user data to train public models. If any future personalization requires tracking, we will offer opt-out/consent and honor GPC where applicable.

Privacy and user control

We aim to keep personal data collection lean. When accounts are available, users will have in-app deletion controls; anyone can request data/account deletion via our web path. See Privacy Policy and Account & Data Deletion for details.

Global access and languages

World Headlines is built for a global audience. English is our source of truth, and translations are provided for convenience. We will expand languages and regions in phases—prioritizing reader demand, source coverage, and accessibility. Feature availability may vary by location and partner licensing.

What's next (without over-promising)

We plan to evolve carefully, guided by the principles above:

How we work

Our newsroom uses World Headlines AI – Prometheus to assist with research, multi-source synthesis, data analysis, and multilingual content production. Every article is subject to strict editorial standards and human review. AI supports our journalists — it does not replace editorial judgment.

These statements reflect our present intentions and may change without notice. They are not guarantees, and features may roll out gradually or differ by region.
